One of the major functions of MHVLUG is the monthly lecture series.  Meetings are typically the first Wednesday of the month and run from 6 - 8pm.  The meeting consists of

  • 1 - 3 lightning talks (5 - 10 minute presentations)
  • 1 long form main lecture (60 - 90 minutes in length)
  • Announcements of interest to the community

We then depart for dinner at the Palace Diner, which typically runs from 8pm - 10pm.

Next Meeting: Nagios - Wednesday, April 7th at 6 pm

Presented by Pat Ladd

Nagios monitors your entire IT infrastructure to ensure systems, applications, services, and business processes are functioning properly. In the event of a failure, Nagios can alert technical staff of the problem, allowing them to begin remediation processes before outages affect business processes, end-users, or customers. With Nagios you'll never be left having to explain why a unseen infrastructure outage hurt your organization's bottom line.
