Android is the recently released Linux operating system for cell phones, championed by Google.  Android allows for a relatively open development, and numerous carriers (Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile) have all released Android based phones.

Many members of MHVLUG now have Android phones, and are interested in developing for them.  We have an informal meetup once a month or so to focus on that.  While we can all hack alone on this, hacking together is a bit more fun.
