Linux Weekly News - Very good roundup of Linux news. The site provides daily news stories, as well as weekly publications and special features. Note: Some feature content is delayed 7 days for non subscribers.
Kerneltrap - Summaries of the Kernel development mailing lists
Kernel Traffic - A periodic summary of interesting mail threads on LKML (Linux Kernel Mailing List). Usually updated weekly.

User Groups in the Greater NY Area - Ruth Shanen (a.k.a. Cassandra) keeps an current list of all the User Groups in NYC, Lower NY, CT, and Eastern NJ. It is very helpful if you need a LUG fix more than once a month.
Professional/Technical Society Meetings in the Mid-Hudson Valley - Bill Collier keeps a current list of technical meetings in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Always worth checking out.
The Trenton Computer Fair happens once a year around April. These are like MIT Swap meets, but four times the size and have speakers. The bigger a dork you are, the more worth it it is to go. Experience this at least once!
