In the event that we cannot meet at the MHVLS Auditorium as planned, there are backup sites. Use of these sites will be announced on the mailing list and wiki.
Vassar College
Vassar College is the designated meeting space for the March 5th, 2008 meeting.
A map can be found here: https://wiki.cs.vassar.edu/people/priestdo/tips/find_cs
(yeah, it's a self signed cert but you can deal with that)
On that page there a link to Vassar's site with directions and maps for on how to get to campus and a map I made (with circles and arrows) showing where to park and were we are meeting.
Computer Science is in the basement of "The Old Laundry Building" which is right behind The College Center. It is not a big building. There is only one classroom (3 labs, a lounge, kitchen, a bunch of faculty offices, 2 machine rooms, but only 1 classroom... ) and it's not far from the door.
Walk in, go forward, turn right down the hall, it is the first door on your right (it is the only door on your right.)
Marist College
Donnelly Room 106 has been set aside for alternate meeting space January 2, 2008. You can ask google about how to get to Marist. Donnelly Hall is the only giant round building on campus (just to the left of the green arrow on this map, and building #6 on the Marist map.), easiest to access from the South Gate.
There are a limited number of "Visitor" parking spots available in the Donnelly lot, although visitors at 6pm are unlikely to get ticketed in normal parking spaces. Virtually unlimited parking should also be available in the "McCann/Sheahan" lot (the giant lot between #26 and #23 on the Marist Map). This lot is not ticketed in the early evening.
(Don't tell anyone, but the tickets at Marist are not New York State tickets. You only have to pay if you get so many tickets that security officers recognize your car and boot it. Unless you park in the "Gate House" lot. Don't do that.)
The room is on the lower level, 25° off the main lobby counterclockwise. That is to say, once you enter the main lobby of the building, go down the staircase to the right, turn right, and look on the right-hand side of the hallway.
